Boca正筹备选择在1星期里的其中一天搞一个七字辈的80、90年代 。至于这是什么东东，让我稍微和大家解释。

对于70年代末到80年代初出生的朋友们，曾经耳熟能详的歌曲，我们孩童到中学时一起玩乐的游戏，或是爱不释手的零嘴，您还记得多少？是否非常怀念？

我们将在每星期一（暂定）全天候播放这个年 代的歌曲（以中文为主），并在您享受美食的 当儿陪您玩一些快被时代遗忘了的游戏，间中您也可以吃到那个时候我们常嚷着要买来吃的 零嘴。我们需要您的意见或建议，比如说您想重温哪些歌曲，希望吃到哪些零嘴，或是游戏，还是您有更多更好的意见，不妨让我们知道，好让我们竭尽所能让您在这一天能构乘搭时光机回 到那一段很美好的过去。

2008年让我惊叹的声音！

这是一把让我惊艳的声音！

很久以前我在某博客的部落格上看见过他介绍这一张专辑，那时的我不以为然，因为完全没有概念这是张怎样的专辑，哪儿号人物，也会认为这么一张“另类”的专辑不可能会在本地找着。

几个月后的某天，这张专辑竟然出现眼前。谢谢Vincent。

萨顶顶，一个另类的歌手，有着这么一个另类的名字。

“极负辨识度的嗓音＋电音舞曲＋讲话般朴素的演绎方式＋中国古典佛教文化＋中华民族特有乐器＋东方神秘主义舞蹈构成了萨顶顶独特的音乐风格，身兼歌手、制作人、词曲作者、编舞、舞者多重身份的萨顶顶用汉语，佛教咒语，自语（自创语言）三种语言演绎的音乐，就象她所说的“人类的歌声早于语言，让音乐和你对话”。听萨顶顶，人们能得到真正意义上灵魂的回归。”

这个奖杯，对于我、Sunny、aunt和uncle来说，意义深重。至少，于我而言。

宽中义卖筹款圆满成功！02Aug2008

经过了大家一番努力后，这次的义卖活动终于圆满结束了！很感激各方同学、老师们、以及同学们的家长朋友们的鼎力支持，更感谢高二理5班的同学们通力合作！这班小朋友一大早就到店里来进行布置工作。桌上一朵朵的纸玫瑰是他们其中一样的精心杰作。同学们都很有心思，一早就策划好了一切。除此之外，他们也亲自画了一幅义卖宣传册子，很可爱呢！

这次的义卖会除了是回馈母校的活动之外，也是庆祝Boca一周年的纪念。Boca于2007年9月29日正式开张营业，这次的义卖会算是提前了为Boca庆生。

在此，Boca非常感激大家的支持，如果当天服务或食物方面有何不周或未能达到您的期望与标准，在此向您说声抱歉，我们会加以改进以期做得更好！

偶然间从张栋梁的其中一篇专访中知道这一张专辑后，便竭尽所能寻找这一张专辑。最后才在我常到的那间 The CD Shop寻获。间中也在杂志里看到这一张专辑介绍，更加深了我对这一位女歌手的期待。

一杯热咖啡，加上小甜点，在炎热悠闲的午后细细品尝悠悠爵士女声。。。。生活本应如此，偶尔停下脚步歇息，放松心情，给自己一个思考的空间。问题，或许不再是问题。

缔造2006年法国金唱片佳绩、美国告示牌爵士排行榜长达35周和诺拉．琼斯(Norah Jones)分庭抗礼的新一代爵士女伶Stacey Kent加盟Blue Note深情第一辑.

原是比较文学出身，却意外踏上爵士演唱生涯的女歌手Stacey Kent，是近五年来爵士乐界最闪亮的新星。踩着一条和大部份爵士歌手截然不同的路上来的她，虽是纽约在地人，其爵士生涯却起自欧洲，在Stacey Kent前去攻读义文、法文和德文的过程中，意外结识身为萨克斯风手的老公汤姆．林森，Stacey Kent在完全没有专业音乐训练的背景下，开始了爵士演唱，到伦敦市政厅音乐学院学习，并在伦敦各地的爵士酒馆演唱.

唱片公司看好她的歌声魅力，每张专辑都投入越多的宣传，一直到她上一张专辑，蓄积了广大的乐迷和专业好评，而她也展开了为期长达两年的全球宣传之旅，旅途中她到了卡内基音乐厅、也来到台湾的国家音乐厅，和法国重要演出场所，所到之处无不票房满座，更为她赢得了总销售量高达十万张的金唱片佳绩，并高距美国告示牌爵士排行榜长达35周之久。

《郑智忠杯篮球赛》 - Boca

7月7日到Larkin球场看了一场篮球赛 - Boca VS 印尼棉兰队。这是一场友谊赛，经过一轮激烈的比赛后，Boca最终以微分险胜高头大马的印尼棉兰队，吓得我直冒冷汗！

当比赛进行到一半时，Boca队的其中一名球员因对方球员的不小心碰撞而受伤，眼角下方被撞击到流血。比赛立刻暂停，那位球员也被送到诊所。据后来了解还好没伤及眼睛，缝了大概2cm的针吧！

为期1个多月的《郑智忠杯篮球赛》正在开战当中，Boca很荣幸能有杰出的球员和教练参与这次的比赛。去年的第一届《郑智忠杯篮球赛》在12月举行，Boca得到第三。据说这次的比赛共有30多个队伍报名参加，竞争非常激烈。Boca对能否突围而出，就拭目以待吧！

Diana Krall - Fly me to the moon

Erm, I would like to introduce you some of the very unique jazz singers whom I like quite most. First of all, none other than this, Diana Krall. I came to know her back in few years ago while I was travelling in Hong Kong. I was in a pub, drinking with a long lost friend, and then I happened to listen to this amazing voice! From then, I started to listen to Diana Krall.


Diana Jean Krall, born November 16, 1964, is a Canadian jazz pianist and singer. Krall was born into a musical family in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Caadan. She began learning the piano at the age of four. In high school, she started playing in a small jazz group. When she was 15 she started playing regularly in several Nanaimo restaurants.


At age seventeen she won a scholarship from the Vancouver International Jazz Festival to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and completed three terms.


Krall – for the few still unknowing – is the 41-year old sensation whose cool, heavy-lidded vocals and strikingly sensitive piano-playing has helped her transcend barriers of genre to become a popular artist of the first order who has carved herself a permanent position at the top of the jazz charts.

It's All About Jazz

Introduction
Jazz is an American musical art form which originated around the beginning of the 20th century in African American communities in the Southern United States from a confluence of African and European music traditions. The style's West African pedigree is evident in its use of blue notes, call-and-response, improvisation, polyrhythms, syncopation, and the swung note of ragtime.

From its early development until the present, jazz has also incorporated music from 19th and 20th century American popular music, which is based on European music traditions. The word jazz began as a West Coast slang term of uncertain derivation and was first used to refer to music in Chicago in about 1915; for the origin and history, see Jazz (word).

Jazz has, from its early 20th century inception, spawned a variety of subgenres, from New Orleans Dixieland dating from the early 1910s, big band-style swing from the 1930s and 1940s, bebop from the mid-1940s, a variety of Latin-jazz fusions such as Afro-Cuban and Brazilian jazz from the 1950s and 1960s, jazz-rock fusion from the 1970s and later developments such as acid jazz.

Origins
By 1808 the Atlantic slave trade had brought almost half a million Africans to the United States. The slaves largely came from West Africa and brought strong tribal musical traditions with them. Lavish festivals featuring African dances to drums were organized on Sundays at Place Congo, or Congo Square, in New Orleans until 1843, as were similar gatherings in New England and New York. African music was largely functional, for work or ritual, and included work songs and field hollers. In the African tradition, they had a single-line melody and a call-and-response pattern, but without the European concept of harmony. Rhythms reflected African speech patterns, and the African use of pentatonic scales led to blue notes in blues and jazz.

In the early 19th century an increasing number of black musicians learned to play European instruments, particularly the violin, which they used to parody European dance music in their own cakewalk dances. In turn, European-American minstrel show performers in blackface popularized such music internationally, combining syncopation with European harmonic accompaniment. Louis Moreau Gottschalk adapted African-American cakewalk music, South American, Caribbean and other slave melodies as piano salon music. Another influence came from black slaves who had learned the harmonic style of hymns and incorporated it into their own music as spirituals. The origins of the blues are undocumented, though they can be seen as the secular counterpart of the spirituals. Paul Oliver has drawn attention to similarities in instruments, music and social function to the griots of the West African savannah.

那些挂在墙上的誓言~~~~~

当您莅临Boca的时候，有没有留意到墙上一张张的心形小卡片？

在墙的一角贴着的是今年的情人节当天，一对对的情侣在Boca准备的小卡片上写下爱的宣言。我们将它们整理之后订在墙上，借以留作最美丽的回忆。

Boca在情人节前就开始为当晚作准备。前几个礼拜我们就已经着手设计当天的情人节套餐。为了让大家都能在有情调的环境下给另一半留下美好的回忆，我们在ceiling挂上一些气球，并在每张桌子上置放小蜡烛，将全场灯光调暗一些，并且在当晚全程播放情歌。

浪漫到不行！

在情人节到来的前几天，好多的顾客就预先打电话来预定位子。有好些男性顾客还特地提早将事先准备的玫瑰花拿到店里来，准备在那天和女友享用晚餐后给女友一个惊喜。

虽然那天晚上Boca上下都非常的忙碌，但是看到一对对的有情人开心的用餐，心里无上满足。

但愿全天下的情人，有情人终成眷属。
